Seka Pascal's sublime goal in added time of the first half for his 6th of the season and Philip Auta's brilliant finish two minutes from time ensured both sides would share the spoils at the August 27th Stadium Damaturu in one of the match day 21 fixtures of the NPFL on Sunday.

Bosso's led technical crew maintained the same starting eleven that got a draw in a rescheduled match day 17 game against Enyimba FC in midweek save for Godwin Obaje who got the nod ahead of injured skipper Patrick Ikeokwu.

The early moments of the first stanza was a case of Goalkeeper Drissa Bamba against the Desert Warriors strikers as the assistant skipper who led the charges pulled off strings of brilliant saves to deny Asuquo Philip and Ohanachom Chinedu. A rampaging Seka Pascal and brilliant moves from Obaje Godwin coupled with deft touches from Chijioke Alaekwe and Ekene Awazie summed up the half but not without the moment of magic from Seka Pascal with a delightful lob in added time to ensure the Anambra Warriors would retire to the dressing room with a well deserved lead.

The second half commenced in a similar fashion as the first with the home side who were trailing coming out stronger, the possession football almost paid to their advantage with Philip Asuquo's shot coming off the woodwork in the 60th minute. A very alert Bamba denied Ohanachom Chinedu from a one-on-one situation in the 62th minute. Two minutes after, Obaje Godwin nearly doubled the led for the Warriors but for a close call with the offside flag raised against the one time NPFL highest goal scorer.

Energetic and skilful Msonter Tony five minutes from time almost took the game beyond the reach of the home side with his effort denied by the undulation of the pitch and Goalkeeper Paul Godwin palming his effort wide for a corner kick with the resultant effect cleared by the backline. Auta Philip scored two minutes from time to deny the Warriors all three points on the road.

Next up for the Anambra Warriors is Niger Tornadoes next Sunday in match day 22 but first an Nnewi derby sandwiching in between as the defending champions on Wednesday will start the defence of the trophy won last year when they play host to Nnewi United in the second round of the Neros Pharmaceuticals Anambra FA Cup.
